Water Line Replacement in Atlanta

Your Atlanta home uses water for your most important day to day activities. Taking showers, washing dishes, watering the garden, flushing toilets and doing laundry all depend on the quality of your water supply. Pipe leaks and corrosion can cost a lot of money, not only in unnecessary utility expenses, but in property damage caused by flooding. Sometimes however, it can be difficult for homeowners to know when it’s time to call in the professionals.

Mr. Rooter is a local Atlanta company that specializes in water line replacement and repair services. Our team is supported by some of the most highly qualified local plumbers with a lot of industry experience. Hiring the right plumber is important to ensure your pipes are running smoothly.

How do you know when it’s time for a plumbing inspection? Look for these common signs that you’re in need of a water line repair or water line replacement.

Low Water Pressure

When you turn on the shower, does the water flow lightly or sputter inconsistently? This could be a sign that your water line is in trouble, particularly if you are having the same issue with faucets in multiple locations. Lowered pressure is usually a red flag that you have leaks hiding somewhere throughout your system. It’s very possible that this leak could be occurring in the main water line. If this is the case, you will need a professional Atlanta plumber to properly asses the conditions of your pipes to see if you need a replacement or water line repair.

Yellow or Brown Water

Fill your bathtub or sink with water. If the result is cloudy, yellow or brown tinted water, this is a sign that rust is corroding your pipes severely enough for it to be leaking into your water supply. Corrosion of this magnitude means that your pipes are vulnerable to damage and may need water line replacement services from a local plumber. Mr. Rooter has Atlanta’s best plumbers ready to make sure you and your family has the best quality water pouring from your faucets.

Poor Pipe Materials

Sometimes your current plumbing may be functioning well. However, if your home is older and you have not had a plumbing inspection – you may want to give Mr. Rooter a call. Lead pipes were frequently used in the early 1900’s because of their ability to withstand the test of time. Unfortunately, society was unaware of the severe adverse health effects of consuming lead. Over time, lead leeches out of the pipes and finds its way into your water.

Another pipe material popularized in the 1970s through early 1990s is called Polybutylene. Although there isn’t evidence of toxicity, it is believed that the chemicals used in municipal water interact with poly pipes over time and cause accelerated corrosion. The potential for breaking or rapid deterioration could leave you with busted pipes and interior flooding of your home. If these pipes are installed in your home, a water line repair will not protect your property, it may be in your best interest to get a water line replacement.

If your home is showing signs of water line wear and tear, give Mr. Rooter a call. We have certified professional local plumbers ready to help. Call Mr. Rooter”s Atlanta location today to schedule an appointment.

Since January my water bill has been double the normal amount. My neighbor told me to call Mr. Rooter. I got them to come out on their $29 trip charge. Seemed pretty fair to me because they will waive the fee if they do the work. The guy got here when he was supposed to and pretty much immediately found the problem. The toilet in the basement had a leaky valve. He repaired it and then went out to the street and checked the water meter. He found ANOTHER leak where the sprinkler ties into the main water. He fixed that too. Water bill went down immediately. Used a $50 coupon I found online. Between the coupon and the lower water bill I paid for the entire service in three months! Thank you John D and Mr. Rooter.
